We all need play. We all need creative expression.
Our programs are designed to give teachers an outlet to take a risk on developing and designing management and instructional systems that take students into a world of exploration and here's how:
Problem Solving Strategies That Work
We uncover the challenges of teaching using evidence based strategies for solving problems.
Adult Learning Theory with Style
Group work practices are designed for the adult learner using the Drago Severson framework.
SCRUM/AGILE Framework
Participants also work in increments to develop a product. This project management style is beneficial for those on tight schedules.
Immediate Feedback for Growt
Our programs are designed for participants to receive immediate feedback before going too deeply into development of a product.
Making Learning Visible
Constant usage of protocols, documents, and visuals to help keep work organized and transparent.

Services for professionals:
The Spoken Word Experience
The Spoken Word Experience is a collection of workshops that aim to help students tap into their imagination through written and verbal expression in order to create works of art that are captivating and elevated.
Our poetry workshops are designed to help build collaborative learning communities for students in middle and high school through the use of performance and spoken word poetry.
The Teaching Method
In addition to youth programs, The Educationalist Method is also available for schools and
districts that want to expand their collaborative practices within their Professional Learning Communities.
Our programs for teachers are called The Method because they combine a variety of methodologies such as Adult Learning Theory, Myers Briggs, and SCRUM/Agile, all into one unique program experience.
Educational Resources for ELA teachers
Our programs aim to supplement the ELA curriculum so that during future instruction students can build meaningful connections to their lives as well as to course content.
Using verse to improve comprehension
Our workshops come with slam poetry and literary resources that are helpful for middle and high school students to refine their written and oral communication skills.
We have materials that are aligned to common core standards so that teachers and students can reference the information beyond our workshop days.
You're 3 steps away
from transforming your class vibe
As part of our mission to work collaboratively with schools and teachers, open communication and dialogue is essential in the planning stages of this process. To reach the desired performance goals for all learners, The Educationalist Method uses the following roadmap to plan and execute workshops with their clients.
1. Starting with a Zoom/ in person conference
All consultations begin with a 30 minute Zoom or in person conference where school leaders discuss the scope of the project with our team.
2. Introduction and information
An introductory email will be sent to the teachers who we will be working with to get a background understanding of the class structure and special requests for the workshop.
3. Getting ready for workshop
A few weeks before the workshop, we will reach out to revisit the scope of the project and discuss any changes or accommodations that may have occurred since initial meeting.
You may be wondering...
What is SCRUM/AGILE?
What will we be working on during our time here?
How long do programs last?
Can I get professional development points for participating in this program?
Hi! My name is Mannikka!
I had my first opportunity to guide and lead a team of educators in 2015 when I was asked to work with new special education teachers in my building.
I loved watching our group uncover and discover more about themselves through the strategies and techniques that I incorporated in through facilitating the discussion.
Now, almost 10 years later, I am grateful to have the opportunity to reach more educators who are looking on growing and expanding by doing the same!
The Educationalist Method
is designed to help your team and group of learners to use their voice to ignite change.
Our workshops are here to help transform individuals into active participants in change through a collaborative and communal approach.
